Borrowed scenery, a fundamental principle of traditional Chinese gardens, extends the landscape beyond the site’s physical boundaries by drawing distant views into the experience of space.

A technique of near borrowing frames the shifting shadows of trees, bringing the changing rhythm of daylight indoors.
Additionally, a neighboring borrowing technique is used, employing glass materials not commonly found in ancient times to reflect the landscape within a circular view.

The material palette reinforces this dialogue with nature. Soft grey tones, reminiscent of weathered stone, establish a calm backdrop, while warm timber introduces a subtle sense of warmth, creating an atmosphere where urban living remains closely connected to the natural landscape.
